A number of years back, I made the transition from avid musician hobbyist to professional performer. Since then, I`ve made my living in the music business.
If you`ve thought about `going pro`, I`ve got something that you`ll find very helpful.
I`ve written a book and it`s now available for the first time!
The "Indie Bible" is the 'Holy Grail' for musicians trying to promote and sell their music. With over 9,000 entries, this 300+ page book is the best reference guide on the market.

Hi, my name is Jim Snively and I played “at home” for many years until I was encouraged to take my music ‘public’. Like so many before me, music filled a need in my life and home is how and where I met that need.
I remember walking into the Brick Alley Theater, an open mic in Cleveland, and trying to decide if I wanted to play in public. It was there I finally opened my guitar case and ultimately my soul.
Through the open mics, I have met and befriended many very talented people. Most are local, but some are passing thru on their way to a dream. It has allowed me to learn my art and enhance via performance thru the feedback of a live audience.
Since that day, I’ve gone on to host several Area open mics.
Once, during a conversation with Jen Chapin (daughter of Harry Chapin), I told her that there are so very many talented players who, in real life are dentists. truck drivers, office workers, laborers etc., that could sit in with her and her trio and she would never know they were amateurs. And in chatting with Def Leopard’s Viv Campbell, he told me that when he goes home to L.A. after touring, he takes a month off ~ does nothing ~ then goes to local “jams” & open mics to keep his chops up.
So, to me, open mics are a gateway to where ever you want to go. I play them, I host them, I love them. Thank you for caring enough to ask.
My name is Jim “LooseChange” Snivley, and I thank you.
